Credit Cards — Do You Really Need Them
Credit cards, do you really need them?
Credit cards have become a part of life for most people in today’s world. We use them at the gas station, the grocery store, the mall, the restaurant, the florist, just about everywhere, now even at church. Credit cards have come to be one of the most versatile ways of paying. If you desire to purchase merchandise online, you will be required to pay using a credit card.
Once issued with one, you will find the need to carry around bulky, dirty and unsafe cash is significantly diminished. A few merchants will still not accept credit cards and require cash only sales but the majority of purchases can be made with “plastic”.
The fact is that it is becoming increasingly impossible to avoid them, especially for business men and women.
You need a credit card to book a flight.
It’s hard to get a hotel booking (in many hotels) without having a credit card.
Credit cards are required to rent an automobile.
It is easy to keep track of your transactions, and thus it is easy to keep track of your expenditures.
The value of having a card in case of an emergency is immense. If you have ever been stranded because of car trouble, or if you need emergency medical help, or whatever else the emergency might have been, you’ll be forever thankful for the instant credit provided by your credit card.
Be careful however, to use them responsibly. Don’t lose track of the fact that the bill will come.
